Malama Pa’akea O Waimalu

Our mission: To perpetuate Native Hawaiian culture and kuleana through education, stewardship, and cultivation of Hawaii’s natural resources.

What do we do?

We care for and restore a Native Hawaiian fishpond known as Pa’akea, along with caring for a native plant nursery.

Where are we?

We are located in the ahupua’a Waimalu, in Pearl City.

Why do we do this?

We want the next generation to be knowledgeable about our heritage and culture. We want to care for the ‘aina around us and leave it better than how we found it.

Who are we?

We are concerned and active members of the Hawaii community who want to do our part.
